The desk answers, not a chatbot
Every message is opened by a person here. If your question is about bone-friendly eating, calcium and vitamin D, or why a page reads the way it does, this is the right place to send it.
What to send us
Questions about the content are welcome: which page covers a topic, what a figure means, or where a recommendation comes from. Topic suggestions help us plan, particularly when several readers ask about the same thing.
If you have spotted an error, include the page address and the sentence you are querying. That gets a faster and more useful response than a general note.
A correction report works best with
- 1The page address you were reading, so we can open the same version.
- 2The sentence or figure you are querying, copied as it appears.
- 3What you expected instead, if you already have a source to compare against.
What we cannot help with
We cannot give medical advice, interpret test results, or comment on your individual medicines. Those questions need a GP, pharmacist or dietitian who knows your history.
If your query is about a prescription interaction, a pharmacist can usually answer it without an appointment and with better information than a website.
Where the desk cannot reach
- Choosing a Supplement — for how we frame supplement context generally.
- Bone Health Basics — for the fundamentals that answer most beginner questions.
Response times
We aim to reply to messages that need an answer within five working days. Correction reports are usually handled sooner.
5
working days for a reply, counted Monday to Friday on the desk calendar.
9–6
desk hours, Monday to Friday. Weekend messages land on the next working day.
All
Topic suggestions and general feedback may not receive a reply, but they are read. If you do not hear back, it does not mean the message went nowhere.
Most of what readers write about lands in exactly the same place: "Calcium & Vitamin D Guide" and "Food Sources for Strong Bones". If your question touches either page, we can point you to the exact section that answers it. When a topic comes up repeatedly, it usually becomes a note for the editorial queue rather than a one-off reply — that is the point of sending it in. If you were searching for joint pain relief or a knee pain solution and arrived here by mistake, this desk is not a clinic; we only cover bone-friendly eating and the supplement context that goes with it, and both of those pages above are the better place to start.
Send your message
One form covers every kind of note. Pick the subject that matches your reason for writing, and give us enough detail to reply well.
The email address you enter is only used to answer you. Nothing is added to a mailing list, and no one outside the editorial desk reads it.

Working hours and where to find the desk
The editorial desk is staffed Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Messages sent at the weekend are picked up on the next working day. If you post a letter, note that the address below is a workplace address, not a walk-in service for health questions.

Not sure where your question belongs?
Send it anyway and describe what you were reading. We can point you to the right page, or add the topic to the editorial list if it has no home yet. Corrections get priority, and we would rather hear about an error twice than not at all.
While you wait
Most of the everyday questions about calcium, vitamin D and food-first bone support already have an answer on the reading pages. Start there if you would rather not wait for a reply.
